Lucas Maas

Lucas Maas started his career at Johnson & Johnson over 30 years ago. He then joined General Electric, where he worked for nearly 20 years. During this period, he held a variety of management positions, ranging from manufacturing director to European leader for GE’s Six Sigma initiative.

While applying Six Sigma, he achieved a 20% capacity increase at GE Plastics without substantial investment. Lucas developed a practical, hands-on training approach to Six Sigma and over time he has used this to train and coach hundreds of (Master) Black and Green Belts. He developed a significant part of the Six Sigma curriculum, still being used to train GE colleagues today.

In 1997, he became the first certified GE Master Black Belt across Europe, before returning into a leadership position of one of the GE Plastics business units.

Lucas has an academic background in Mechanical Engineering.
He concentrates on implementing Six Sigma from the boardroom to the shop floor. Lucas is both native and resident of the Netherlands, although work takes him anywhere across Europe.
